TITLE: Field Service Technician Team Leader - Southern Territory
LOCATION: Carol Stream
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentors and trains new Field Service Technicians in all aspects of Field work.
- Ensures 100% completion of required workloads within team territory by working with Technicians and Dispatch
- Identifies problems within territory and initiated proactive solutions for the team.
- Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment and recommends necessary repairs.
- Troubleshoots problems pertaining to breakdowns on customer equipment
- Assists technicians in troubleshooting difficult repairs and demonstrates willingness to work alongside team members.
- Opens and close work orders with Dispatch, provides service repair narratives (written and verbal) for customer, an submits paperwork for time worked and repairs completed
- Conducts field inspections on technicians to ensure quality Road Service departmental goals.
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of reading schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
- Knowledge of above average in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material handling equipment
- Skilled in providing excellent custom relations by exchanging information with courtesy and consideration.
- Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service.
- Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
- Ability to motivate, provide leadership and develop mutual accountability of team members.

TITLE: Battery Specialist
LOCATION: Ankeny
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedules all battery and charger related service calls and scheduled maintenance
- Maintains in direct contact with Service Dispatchers on calls and scheduled maintenance.
- Troubleshoots industrial batteries with volt meter and hydrometer.
- Repairs industrial batteries through component replacement such as individual cell replacement and/or cable replacement.
- Troubleshoots industrial battery chargers.
- Understands safety issues when handling hazardous material such as lead, acid, and high AC voltage and performs work accordingly.
- Welds lead cable and connecting straps.
- Provides technical support for Managers and peers as needed.
- Verbally communicates with customer what actions need to be taken in order to repair their equipment.
- Installs and repairs single point watering systems.
- Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education, and/or one to three years previous battery and charger experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education.
- Previous mechanical, electrical and hydraulic experience a plus.
- Knowledge of DC applications and AC theory.
- Knowledge of battery assembly and professional training in lead welding.
- Skilled in providing excellent customer relations by exchanging information with courtesy and consideration.
- Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
- Ability to exercise sound independent judgment regarding repair or replacement of equipment.
